The Ladder

“Climb the ladder”- Instruction I heard in various ways throughout my life. This idea of climbing up. Being elevated above my peers. Status based on where you currently are on this “ladder”. It’s not comfortable living on a ladder though. If you ever feel like stepping off, I’ll walk with you hand in hand through grassy hills and across sandy beaches. I’ll meet you at the bottom.
