Because its Beautiful

Most times my work finds inspiration from trauma. From fears. From confronting that which makes me uncomfortable. But there is the other element to my work. The appreciation for the beauty in the world around me. Because even on my worst days, I know that I am at least on fire and burning in the most of meadows. My friend once described my work as “a reoccurring theme of ‘beauty in darkness’ or ‘beauty in the macabre’.” and with this set I wanted to highlight my appreciation for the things I find beautiful. The natural settings I find myself in, the human forms i get to appreciate, the relationships between people that bring light to my life. There is darkness, and fear, and pain. But there is also so much light, and kindness, and love. Thank you to all who share those qualities with the world, because its beautiful.
